      First supposed lucid dream

Ok so i had been browsing the forums for about a week before i had this (Which was just the other day) so this is what happened:

i dreamt that i was in a van with a few of my friends Hayden, Lee, Tim and my sister Liv, we were driving into the airport and i saw a few of my other friends camping out on the side of the road beside the airport (as you do...). It then skipped to us walking down the gate and into the plane. Hayden had dissapeared and i was wondering where he was. I was last in line and as i stepped onto the plane it started to move away. like it wasn't connected properly and one leg was on the plane and one still in the gate. it started to get further away and i had to try and get on the plane. making a mad leap i grabbed the door of the plane but fell out as it was starting to take off. it was getting faster and faster and i was holding onto the door when i thought "wait, this can't be happening. I must be dreaming. I'm dreaming!" i was quite excited but as soon as i realised that i was dreaming i felt a rush. like i was being pulled. either from becoming lucid and feeling the rush of the plane or because just then i woke up. felt the rush and woke up.
does anyone know why i would've woke up? i read that it might've been because i was too excited. but yea i was stoked that i finally had one, but gutted that i couldn't do anything haha

Congrats on your first LD Sounds like you had quite a trip there, literally lol. I'm impressed that you had one so early on after what you say has only been a few nights.

The only problem with this type of LD I guess is that you're being dropped in the deep end right at the start and your brain or indeed your true consciousness can't quite grasp whats going on in such a fast moving scene.

Give it time though and I'm sure you'll have a much easier transition to an LD and it'll give you time to stabilize the world you're in.

Give me an LD with a talking cat for example and it'll be a piece of cake

You're quite right. This seems to be a very common experience for 1st lucid dreams. Practice does makes perfect though.

      Congratulations and stick at it.

thanks, i tried again last night but no deal haha it was my fault though, i didn't do it properly haha. i had a really really vivid one though, the cops took my lisence off me for 2 YEARS!! i was like "wat i havn't even done anything!" haha and when i woke up i was like. "damn! 2 years!" and realised that it was infact just a dream. i tried the whole water wake you up thing and it worked good as!
