      Wht you are experincing is called hypnogogic images. Just focus on those and you could enter a lucid dream

      No, this is probably not sleep paralysis. This sounds like hypnagogic imagery, which typically happens in the first stage of sleep as you are drifting off.

      How strong are the images? If you focus on them, do they stay? Are you paralyzed? Do you FEEL scared or are you just scared as a result of seeing the images? It's hard for another to determine with so little info.

      Doubtfully, sleep paralysis often comes way after hypnogogic hallucinations.
