      immobile!! :O

let me start by saying hello since this is my 1st post!

anyway, i have managed a few ld's irregularly, some having lots of detail while others flopping out in a few seconds. one thing that keeps happening however is that i am unable to move! it feels like i am either frozen, or that gravity is 10000 times stronger than normal! sometimes i can break free by having myself fight it, trying to sit up, othertimes, i just wake up! this for me seems to be the point that determens whether or not i have an ld. once i get by i can do a fair amount of things in the dream. any suggestions? i plan on trying to become lucid tonight.

      First off, welcome to Dreamviews!

As for you feeling stuck, i know how it feels. sometimes i have felt that i could only move slowly... The best thing for me is to close my eyes and tell myself that i can move fine. OR summon a car or something :p after im movng on a car or something, i find it easier to move on my own. Try that

What you are experiencing is sleep paralysis.

Yes, that is Sleep Paralysis, which is actually the same as REM Atonia and is what we go through every night. The only difference between Sleep Paralysis and REM Atonia is that we are conscious during SP and unconscious during RA.
