Enthusiastic newbie! "The vibrations state" at eve

      Hi!
I'm kind of new to this whole lucid dreaming thing. I've read alot about lucid dreaming and out of body experiences. Does this forum concentrate only on lucid dreaming? I've tried and succeed to enter "the vibrations state" (don't know if this is the english word for it; when you hear noises getting louder and louder, you can feel "waves" going through your body which you can follow and stuff ), but I always get too excited and the feeling slowly fades away. I usually lay down on my bed before Im goin' to sleep. I try to find a comfortable position. Then I just try to relax as much as possible, but still with a "clear" mind. After a while I can feel how my muscles/body parts are like "fading away/getting paralysed". Then I try to breath deep and calm and just continue to relax. After that I begin to hear the noises in my head, sometimes if feels like something spins around in my mind, sometimes it feels like my body parts are'nt controlled by me. When it starts to get real intense I always get to "excited" and it slowly goes away and I "wake up". Do you have any suggestions for me, how to stay calm? I've also heard that it's best to try to get to "the vibrations state" at morning, but it's much easier for me at evening. Maby one can't "jump" into a lucid dream from the state in the evening? Well, Im just a newbie who needs some suggestions! ) Luv dreamin'!
      Thanks.

Edit: ...and sorry for my bad english..

      Welcome, kuatr0 ;D.

From what you posted, you're lookin like you're pretty well on your way to having an OBE. This place has members who are interested in a wide range of topics and yes, that definitely includes OBEs. You might wanna check out the Beyond Dreaming forum for that kinda stuff.

Also the Tutorial forum has a WILD tutorial, which I believe has similar instructions as OBE.

This paralyzing stage is when the body goes to sleep and so to say disconnects from the brain. From here you can either have a LD or an OBE.
You say you are new to the vibration thing but it looks like you have little problems with reaching the stage. And you are very lucky!
In the beginning it best to make good habits, if not these can affect your later progress.
One of my tips is, when you get to the vibration stage, do not be afraid. Im not saying that you will but if you become, like my first meeting with the vibrations, just clear your mind and move on. This is the same with your excitement. The point isnt to reach the vibration stage, its is to go beyond it. Its like a bump in the road... dont stop at the bump going all "It tickles in tickles!!". Just move ahead like it wasnt even there. You can do this by keeping you mind blank like you do, or use a technique. Im just saying this because i made the stupid mistake by fearing the vibration level at the time where i didnt know what it was, so i have problems with reaching it now.
But your on your way. I wish you good luck

Thanks LewisM and Jammy! I just think it's so exciting. I guess i'll try to reach at least the vibrations state very often so that I get very used to it and then move on one step at a time!

I know exactly how you feel. It's an amazing feeling especially the first time experiencing it. I also became afraid at one point because it was something I have never experienced. It's all safe so just keep going.

      Hi mate!

I also wanna know about the thing you mentioned at the end of your post.
"Maby one can't "jump" into a lucid dream from the state in the evening?"
Anyone knows about this? I am pretty sure myself that it's only in the last stages of sleep where you dream, so is it possible to enter a lucid dream in the evening? I have never even tried to reach the vibrations state when going to sleep, but Kuatr0 is very sucessful with that. And if it's not possible to enter a lucid dream at the evening, is it possible to reach OBE? I WANNA KNOW!

Btw, I agree with the former posters here, you must not be afraid of the vibrations state! Myself, I was kind of afraid the first times becuz it's a TOTALLY new experience really. But now I've experienced it so many times it almost feels normal , I enjoy it very much, but my goal nowdays is to hold the state long enough to go to the next level. That next level for me is to be able to jump into a lucid dream, it's sooo coool..!!!
      Luv dreamin'!
      Dreams are cool.. : )

You have about 4 dream periodes during 8 hours of sleep, where you go from beta(awake) to alpha(dreams) and trough the more deeper sleep theta and delta before the cycle is reversed. The last periode can be the most vivid and the periode you remember the best.
What is important if you jump right into a lucid dream after going to sleep at the evening, is to when you become lucid, especially in the beginning is to wake yourself up conscioussly. If you dont do this there is a high probability you will wake up 8 hours later not remembering anything than the last dream you were in.
