Maybe you should try W.I.L.D technique(s). http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2048 <-- this might help.

well, i had the same problem - still do sometimes. the best thing to do is ALWAYS QUESTION REALITY!!! -always. In your dream, use your strong wishes for the dream to be real/not real to make you realise you are awake (e.g. If you are being chased by a oversized pig-wolf then think to yourself 'oh my god i wish this were a dream!' - and your awareness of the dream will increase if you are in a dream, and if you are not, your mind will be set to question reality in yor dreams anyway.) sorry if i rambled! xxxxxxxxx

      Citrusponge,
I thought W.I.L.D. was for advanced LDers, but I could be wrong.

nah you dont have to have LD experience for it, just alot of self discipline trying to stay awake and stuff. Its really hard and takes practice.

Then some have a knack for it.

Haz, all you have to do is perform reality checks so often it's ingrained into you, and you'll begin to perform them in dreams as well: that's when you'll notice something is up, and hopefully become aware. That's the general idea, anyway.
