      Weird dreams, please help me.

Every so often, about once a month I get an unusual type of dream. In the last case, I had a normal dream, and then I opened my eyes, and one of the characters in my dream appeared in my room, where at that point I became aware I was dreaming. Once I get into this "stage" I guess you could call it, I am able to control who appears in my room most of the time, but sometimes weird things happen. One such weird case was when this happened at school, and my roommate was trying to speak me, but I think my brain turned what he was saying into something completely different (his voice was super deep and rumbly, not human). I learned this after I talked to him, when I "woke up" even though my eyes were open the whole time.

Also, with these people who I create in my room, I am able to feel them and with one certain case, I actually had sex with a girl...and it felt completely real! I'm not sure what this is, but it really interests me. There's a lot to cover and I wish I had remembered everything that happened in these dreams, but I do know that sometimes if I get too aware of myself dreaming, at that point, the people I create in my room can fade away. After this, I just close my eyes and can continue a new dream situation which I can control completely in my head, or if I want, I am able to open my eyes and interact with someone from the dream.

Finally, one last thing =s. In the last instance of this, I created another one of myself lying exactly where I was. What I did then, was grab my other self, and I felt both of these feelings; I felt myself grabbing the other person and being grabbed at the same time?!?! Ah. Okay, if you can decode any of this, thank you.

Does this have anything to do with this post: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=54958
What CaptainSleepalot said sounded somewhat similar.

Things I'm unsure about: When moving in the dream, I believe that I actually do move (I've never gotten out of bed), although I could be wrong. For talking, I don't think I move my lips, I just talk in the dream with my mind. Finally, for sex, I never got to the point of climax, and I'm not sure how it works.

Hehe... wow the way you put this is really intreresting. What I would guess is that you just have false awakenings, that is you're in a dream and then you transfer to another dream in which your in your room. Most people think that they woke up but really they never left the dream. Our brains do a really good job in a lot of ways at making it feel very real.

I'd suggest you try some reality checks (pluging your nose and trying to breath is a good test) the next time you think that there are people in your room. I think you'll find that you are still dreaming, and then your right into an LD. Rock on.

      Sounds like a false awakening.

This is really cool! I must try this some time.

Gee. Depends on how you want to look at it. Some people would call it an oobe, I would just say that your mind created both experiences. I know that's not very satisfying but people have done some really weird things in LDs. I remember reading about a guy that tried to give himself 360* vision and splitting his body up and taking it to two different places.

Ha cool, I hope you stay the course and have a bunch of LDs.

I don't believe it is a false awakening though. I do not open my eyes and wake up when this happens, I just sort of keep my eyes open and slip out of a dream state. Also, as I said in my post, I did this with my roommate and he saw me with my eyes open, and tried talking to me. I saw him doing stuff on the computer, but I was paying more attention to what I was creating in this dream state. Next time it does happen though, I'll definitely try a reality check; I've also never tried to alter the setting, which may be interesting to see if I can do it.

Dreaming with the eyes open? Doesn't sound too strange. The rest of your body should be paralyzed, so I see no foul in it (unless your eyes feel dry or irritated afterward).

It does sound like sleep paralysis if you just create things, but if you are able to move, and they stay there, you have probably gone right through to the next stage and started lucid dreaming. I envy you.

You mentioned that you had sex with a girl in that state. So it's not entirely clear... You can move in this state? Where's your body?

I'm not sure if I can move, I feel like I can though. I'll have to try and do reality checks the next time this happens I guess, right?

Yes! But I'm puzzled. When you mentioned sex with a girl, was it about another dream-state?

I'm not sure what you mean was it about another dream state? As for a bit of clarification- the sex thing happened by myself, my roommate wasn't there. What I perceived when it happened: I was in my room on my bed lying down, naked (although I actually wasn't) and I felt like I could move. As for the girl, I don't know who she was, but I think she was in my "normal" dream and then I transplanted to her my room once my eyes opened.
