      My First LD...lost?

      First off, Lucid Dreaming has always intrigued me. I would love to be able to accomplish it every night, and so I'm slowly working my way there (yay!!! *claps for self*). Last night I went to bed with no intention of having a lucid dream. I was sleeping and dreaming... of course. The dream that I remember is as follows;

      I was at the top of a staircase. I'm not sure why, but for some reason, I was scared. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind that I have no idea where it came from, but I am thankful it did come: "I know I'm safe in my bed at home." Then, for a moment, I was thinking, "..." and suddenly I realized that I was dreaming! =D *claps for self again* Anyways, to test that I was really lucid (this was, after all, my very first lucid dream) I said to myself, "When I get to the bottom of these stairs there will be a wolf," and so I started to walk down the stairs. A moment later, a wolf appeared behind me! <3 wolves. ^^ Anyways, off topic, I know. And so I decided to test it again. I thought, "When I turn around, there will be a dude." When I turned around, there was a dude. It was an old guy (*disappointed*) and he was kind of scary. So I decided to get rid of him. But, right before he popped out of existence, he said something along the lines of, "HAVE FUN WITH YOUR DRAGON." That really threw me off. Then this random dragon appeared and, with the guy, my lucidity disappeared *cries*. I ended up waking up after this big giant dragon died and came back to life. *sob*

      So, big question; why did I lose my lucidity? And how can I work to keep it next time? [I have heard of spinning and changing colors or places].

      Thanks to whoever decides to answer this. ^^

      Sometimes if you are too excited you lose lucidity or you just lose focus.
      Using your senses helps as an anchor inside the dream.
      Spinning does not work for me.
      Yelling increase lucidity might help.

      Actually, now that I think about it I have had one lucid dream before. (: That one was also sort of weird.

      There was a green TV and I remember changing the color of the screen on it. *giggles* It was sort of fun. Then, for whatever reason, I lost lucidity. *shrug* I do think I tried spinning... It might not work.

      "Increase Lucidity!" sounds really funny. X3 I think that I was afraid to try something for fear that I would end up saying it in real life 0.o But I know you have the immobilization or whatever. So ... yeah, a useless fear. *notes it*
