Wink Hello! I'm just a Newbie W/Couple Questions

Hi everyone! I joined the forum just today and have been very interested in this process and skill. I have experienced LDs quite a few times throughout my life and have also been able to control a couple smaller aspects. I remember many details right after I wake up from the dream and repeat them to myself to be sure that I will remember. So, OF COURSE, when I wake up in the morning and try to recall the dream I get through maybe the first sentence and everything is just GONE. So, obviously the DJ will be a huge help in achieving a higher level of dream recall.
I do have a few questions that I would love to have answered. If you can't answer all of them, whatever you can give input on would be great! Anything here would help. Thanx so much!!

      * Do I need to ONLY stick to working on my dream recall and not attempt inducing an LD until my recall is further along? Or is it reasonable to try to induce a lucid dream while also keeping the DJ and developing my recall?

      * Do any of you believe in DS and/or have you experienced it? If so, what is it like? Is it very difficult to achieve? If they are real, I would love to try to experience one. I'm not sure how it would be scientifically possible, but then I believe firmly that there is still much that is beyond the capable understanding of our current scientific abilities.

      * Are there any vitamins, foods, drinks, etc that are known to aid or inhibit these processes? For example, anything that makes dreams more vivid, helps with dream recall, hurts chances of LDs, weakens dreams, etc.

      * Have any of you ever had a particularly wonderful, eye opening, life changing experience?

      * Have any of you ever had a particularly horrifying, scary, life changing experience (like beyond nightmare type of negative experience)?

      * Does it make a difference whether you have another person in your bed with you or not?

      * When you have an LD or multiple, do you still feel as though you've had a good nights sleep and wake up well rested in general?
