Hi all, been coming here for a while and thought I should introduce myself.

I'm 27, I live in the UK, and I've been trying to find out the answers to the important questions for as long as I can remember.

Having looked at many areas of the unexplained I remain an open minded skeptic. I've seen lots of strange things but I fully believe that there is nothing that is not science. That doesn't exclude the paranormal, quite the opposite, I just think that if something really exists in our universe then there must be a scientific explanation, even if we don't have all the science needed yet.

My interest in lucid dreaming is in line with my ongoing examination of philosophy at the fringes of science. I believe LD'ing may well be the bridge (or a part of just one bridge) between science and the unknown, and the study of these things can/will aid human understanding of the seemingly impossible, and even the bigger picture.

I'm the sort of person that invites the Jehova's Whitnesses in for a cup of tea and a chat, so I don't mind considering some fairly outlandish ideas (and those people really do have some!!) and I look forward to talking with some of you and seeing what can be learned.

In the long term I intend to do experiments with LDs but for now I'm just trying to learn to induce and control them.

I think that just about covers why I'm here, see you on the boards!!
