      False Awakening and SP question

Hello, I've been reading around these forums for awhile, this is my first post though. I have been working on dream recall and the body asleep mind awake thing for the past several weeks. I have never had a LD, and my dream recall itself is pretty bad. I did start a dream journal, but like alot of people, I have a hard time getting up to write in it.

Anyways my question is about SP.. I woke up several times last night, and after each time, I tried to count and concentrate on letting my body fall asleep. Each time I would either let my mind wonder off and give up, or just fall asleep. Well I woke up around 4ish probably, and felt my body was numb, so I thought I'd try it once more, and almost immediately felt a vibration over my entire body. It felt amazing, and I really have no other way of describing it, it was one of the best feelings I've ever had.. During that period I knew what was happening, only from reading here, so I tried to not get too excited and just let it finish. After what seemed like only 30seconds to a minute, I was sure it was over, so I remembered the next step was to try to roll out of my body in my mind, not physically.

As soon as I did that, I was in a dream, but did not realize it at the time. My dream was that I had woken up and started to get ready for work. I did think to check all of the clocks, because all of the times were different. I was trying to figure out if I was really late for work, or if I was dreaming. The next thing I know, I'm laying in bad awake. Is that what most people would describe as a false awakening?

My even bigger question is about SP. It seems like I was asleep, woke up for a second, THEN entered SP. So every time you're asleep, are you not necessarily in SP? Sorry for the long first post, I'm just excited about what I felt, and hopefully it's a sign that I'm getting very close to having a LD, or at least being able to enter SP a little easier.

I'm pretty sure that was just a false awakening. I'm guessing when you woke up for a brief moment you tried to move around and were really scared but couldn't move at all? That's likely to happen occasionally.

The fact that you woke up at 4ish and had that numb feeling makes it likely that you were JUST about to enter an REM period. I've had that and you basically see the lucid forming right infront of you and streaks of light and all that. It'll form alot faster than usual and that is why WBTB methods seem to work so well.

Yes, I would say that was a false awakening, and then you actually woke up in sleep paralysis. I'm thinking you were like just waking up and hadn't experienced SP before so it felt like it took a brief moment of time to kick in. I've had similar experiences.
This entire reality is SELF REFLECTION. You reflect your essence and project it onto the universe.
