      First Lucid Dream Last Night

I had tried lucid dreaming way back when, but kind of just gave up. Until last night, where my interest has sort of risen again.

Anyway, I finally had one last night. At about 6am I found myself awake and having trouble going back to bed. So I got up, took a pis, got some water and went back to sleep. I wasn't really thinking of it at the time, but I seem to recall this being a method of going lucid (the whole setting an alarm for the middle of the night/early morning thing). But yeah, all of a sudden I found myself in the middle of my basement, completely dark when I usually leave a light on all night... that's sort of when I clued in. I walked over to one of the digital clocks in my basement and every time I blinked it changed time or the lights went all screwy. Then I turned around and there suddenly a bunch of lights on. But yeah, I took a walk around my basement for a minute or two and then my eyes fuzzed up as I was going to sit down at my computer. I was a little overwhelmed with the fact that I was lucid dreaming, so it didn't exactly last long.

I also feel way more refreshed this morning than I usually do. I thought it was the other way around with lucid dreams.

congrats on the lucid. A lot of people think lucid dreaming makes you feel like you got less sleep, but i don't think it does at all.

Nope, lucid dreaming always makes me feel amazing. I used to get them a lot at 5 am, and I didn't have to get up until 10ish (I had a noon class). I'd wake up at the end of the dream and just get out of bed and start my day I felt so excited and energized!

Yea, a WBTB is getting up and then going back to sleep. Doing some thinking about lucid dreaming should be done during a WBTB too, but hey there you go Congrats!
