      My first post =)

      Hello seekers!
I grew up with a natural ability to LD and thought everyone could until after I finished with college. I wonder how that happened. Anyways, I have been searching out information about this as I have been unable to have as many LD's recently, and recall few, if any, of the dreams I do have.

Wondering if anyone else happens to have ... I don't know what to call it. Where you have different dreams on different days but that occur in the same setting? I have multiple settings which are identical in each similar dream. My favorite is the one with the room that is completely packed wall to wall with canopy beds, it has to be about gymnasium size. Usually playing a game of hide and seek tag with a bunch of people, it's very exciting because you never know who's in the next bed since the canopy/drape thingies block the view. I miss going there. I want to go back...

      Can anyone help??

      Hey EarthPixie
I have a lot of dreams in and around my house.
I'm not quite sure, you want help getting lucid more so you can go to that place or you want to know how to get back to that place?
If you want to get lucid more, use the tutorial section on here. DILDs,WILDs,DEILDs.etc.
If you want to go back to that place, I would try a couple different scene changing techniques. Going through a mirror, falling through the floor, walking through a wall, opening a door, dream spinning (doesn't work for me). Anything that might lead you into a different scene.

      Thanks.
To answer the question, yes to both. I am feeling frustrated lately since I seem to have lost my ability to remember and control my dreams. Oh well...

Hey, welcome Yea, most of us don't have that natural ability. You mentioned your consistent dream environments though, you will probably enjoy this thread

Thanks for the welcomes and the info. I loved that bit about DReam Cartography! Sounds like fun! SO I have some documents started on my laptop now where I can start writing things out when I have something to remember about my dreams =)
I am in the middle of night weaning my son so I can actually get to some REM sleep. I think that might be my problem, hard to dream when you are constantly being awaken every few hours, don`t you think?

Well, no. Awakenings in REM periods are good for dream recall Awakenings in slow wave sleep (non-remsleep) won't do anything, except making you tired.

You dream, no matter what. If you missed an hour of REM-sleep (dreamsleep), your body just adjusts by having a REM-rebound: you just spend a little extra time in the next night in REM.

So why do you think I am having less recall and lucidity than I am used to?

Less recall, yes. Less lucidity, maybe.

I think it's more probable that you don't sleep that good anymore, what has an effect on your dream recall. This affects your "wakefulness" in your dreams too, so that might be a cause for less lucidity.

That is awesome, I wish I had a natural ability for it! Does having a natural ability for it make you take it for granted at times though? I mean, when I have a lucid dream, I'm overjoyed and hoping for another one. If I had them all the time, I get the feeling I'd get used to them.

I used to have one building in which I've returned in several non-lucid dreams. I'm pretty sure it's a place my mind has made up but I've had several dreams there. It's actually interesting that there can be places we go to regularly within dreams which we've never been to in real life. Makes you wonder whether it is something your mind is making up or if there's a little something more to the dream!

Back to DV after a long break from lucid dreaming! Hoping to get into a habit of lucid dreaming soon
