      Finding Dreamsigns

      Hey there,

I'm quite new to this whole lucid stuff. Started less then a week ago, but already recorded 12 dreams in my journal. Is it sensible to start looking for dreamsigns in those 12 dreams or wait a week or 2 until I can put it in a better perspective?
      Thanks

Hi It is always a good time to start looking for your dream sign. Go through your journal and se if you have any of the same thing happening again and again in your dreams. If not, give it some more time to see if a pattern emerges. But I think you should begin now

It is never a bad time to look for dream-signs, unless you just started to put yourself into the habit of remembering your dreams.

Just glance through your dream journal for any recurring people, places, things, symbols, feelings, etc.

Thanks, for the replies. I'll start looking when I have time, though there isn't a really obviopus connection between all my dreams
What's the difference between dreaming that you're lucid and lucid dreaming?

it doesn't have to be a recurring theme either it can just be something completely out of the ordinary that would never happen in real life.

But then I can't get a list of some signs that happen a lot in my dreams so I can get lucid more easily. Because a dream to days ago I was hanging out with a talking book and a talking thrash can, but I didn't question it happening. And I can't possibly come up with a list of all strange things that might happen and practise with those sign during the day.

Just look for common plots themes, those are the most common ones.

Basically, look for ANY patterns whatsoever.
ANYTHING that is reoccuring is a dreamsign, and its different for all of us.

For me, most of my dreams are based in New Zealand, even though I live in Australia.

Once you know your dreamsigns, you will learn to recognise them while you are dreaming, thus increasing the chance of becomming lucid.
      Are you a Dreamer?

I'm facing the same dilemma as you - I have even less dreams, but try to take a very generalized view of things. I read somewhere that someone said their dream sign was a red pickup truck - this is a great dreamsign, but not many people have that.

In my dreams, I've noticed that I'm almost always being chased at some point - of course, even after knowing that, I've yet to have a lucid dream. The only real lucid dream so far was on my first night of trying, and it was of the lowest level, and lasted for barely a minute.

@Vulpix, I went to New South Wales this year - beautiful countryside you mates have.

They were helping me fight of the pirates (modern pirates) but I can't recall them really helping (like shooting and stuff) but they were definitely talking, they had mouths, but no eyes.

It happens to me that I'm in a tight spot in half of the dreams, either being chased, attacked or escaping.
I would have liked to have a minute of lucid, I had one at my third night or so, I realized I was lucid and then woke up But if you've been trying to get lucid for a longer period than one tiny might be a bit dissapointing
