      Good Day

Hey folks, I love dreaming of course

I've been lucid dreaming probably since I was 6 or something lol, It's been a long time, back then the only way i would get what I want in my dreams I'd have to say "I wish" as in i wish i could have this or do this. One weird thing was that I had a dream that was originally a nightmare, with spiders and bugs and the next time I had that dream it went the other way and I got loads of Toy Story toys lol. My long term memory tends to be good and I generally remember some of the most insignificant points of my life, I remember my first dream where I got what I wanted, I wanted to be something can't remember what but it was like a power ranger lol. I've only had a couple of dreams where I've had COMPLETE control as in everything I want to happen does happen, (most of the time it doesn't) I remember one time I had a weird coincidence that I 'read' the time and said to someone in my dream I gotta get up it's 26 past 7 I've got school, I'm gonna be late and it was that time when I woke up. The annoying thing about my dreams is most of the time they get distorted. My dreams tend to take place in my old house, my current house and my old school, dreams from primary school have virtually gone and have started to have a couple at uni. In fact the latest at uni really scared me, I'm sure we've all had those dreams where you wake up in your dream then go to sleep and wake up again and again while it was kind of like that but this was kind of different, normally in those states you can pick up that you are still in the dream state as your mind isn't 100% there, but this time I'd keep waking up and then my mum would be in my room and we'd do something, I was getting pretty scared cos my mind was literally awake, I didn't think I was asleep anymore cos I was thinking and functioning like a 100% awake person, I kept trying and trying and trying to wake up but it just wasn't happening but then my sister appeared instead of my mum and I managed to get up. I've had many amazing fantastical journeys in my dreams and those are some of my favourites. Most of my dreams as of lately are sex ones though so I won't post about them Anyways not sure what made finally join something like this but what the hey, I have so many fab adventures so why not share them

At one point though I had a dream everynight that I could remember and that was really annoying me cos I wasn't getting a goods night sleep but I've cut that down now so it's not every night <3. I've never had to learn any of this lucid stuff and I was surprised when a friend at school a while back started talking about it and how they were trying to do it and asked if I had and I was well surprised cos I thougt everyone did lol. Like every 1/30 or something dreams i have aren't at least knowing that I am dreaming.

Oh yeah one problem I tend to have with my dreams is that when I am sleeping in my dreams often my eyes in my dream will be shut and I'll be too scared to open them just incase they are my real eyes, and sometimes my vision just goes blurry and I can't see at all, it's a real pain, doesn't happen often and normally when I open my eyes I'm fine anyways. What I find weird is that the way I can force myself to wake up is to close my eyes and count to like 5 in my dream then I often wake up in the real world. Is that the same for anyone else or is that just me?

I don't have a lot of experience with closed eyes in lucids, except for once or twice when I closed my eyes and started seeing a different scene (then became part of that scene). I have heard a few other people mention that they close and open their eyes to wake up, though.

      Welcome

I see you are a natural. That's great.

I think you're gonna like it here.

For the problem with the blury vision, I have the same problem here. I think the only way to defeat it is perserverence and stabilization. (Ask if you don't know what it is)

As nautilus has said many people close their eyes and then open them really fast to wake up. I've never really get why anyone would want to get out of their dreams but whatever. I'm happy you have found you're own personal way though. It will probably work better than someone else's idea since its yours and dreams about going in YOUR world so every techniques has to be customized to your dreams since its all about YOU

      Happy meeting you

Well the reason I might want to get out my dream is that I normally 'sense' that it is time to get up for school uni or whatever other reason or because I need the loo lol. Actually I don't go to the loo in the middle of the night although often I will dream about the relaxing sensation of relieving ones self lol. Then when I do wake up I am bursting. Another reason but not common might be that I don't like the dream I'm thaving and no matter how many times I try to change it or go to the next it just isn't happening. It's good to know that's it a normal thing
Well with the blurry vision sometimes it will clear up but other times it won't. Oh one type of dream that I really love is the ones where it carries on from another dream you've had, like maybe a couple of days or weeks before, just like a continuation of the story, I always find that great, it's like reading a book or watching a film and pausing but much more fun.

The thing with my dreaming is that it is ALWAYS distorted, no matter what, like I might live in a house that kind of looks like mine but isn't really or I'll be in a room that's almost like mine but with a small difference in that if I went downstairs it would be my old house or the bannister is in the wrong place.

The problem with me is that I want to write a dream diary or log or whatever but when I wake up I reallllly cannot be bothered to write, type, speak or anything. If I have a dream I really like I'll probably tell people on msn randomly lol, they tend to love my crazy fantasy adventures and if they're weirder or something I'll tell my mum. I just need some motivation lol. The annoying thing is after joining here last night I couldn't remember my dream haha, so couldn't write anything down this morning .

You seem to have Dream Recall. I guess you could do like me. When I wake up, I recall my dream but do not write it in my Dream Journal 'cause I don't have time. I write my dreams in it later during the day whenever I need too. The dream are not as clear as when I woke up but the difference is dim. I don't suggest you to do this. It is a bad habbit I should get rid of but if its your only way to get started go ahead but yeah....

okay, I understand your will to get out of your dreams sometimes... I'd still rather miss school because of the dream than miss the dream because of school... lol

I guess all dreams are distorted...
