Only found out about lucid dreams today like 10 mins before joining, i have had 2 lucid dreams befor but never got to really experince them,

1st : i was a watching 2 digimon fight and then all of a sudden i was inside and controlling the digimon and the second digimon was about to kill me then i woke up >_>

2nd : I was at my school basketball court, i had the ball, i ran then i jump to put all my power into the ball and i went flying, then i had complete controll over myself but dident know why, because i thought it was a dream, i went up int space :S..then plumeting into earth and woke up :S

Oh and im worried i will go into SP and see aliens (Don't Laugh) cause lately i have been dreaming about aliens taking me and cutting me to peices slowly :S

Any hints on how to avoid SP and to get in to WILD?

Well, if you didn't know you were dreaming... It wasn't a lucid.

Even if you were controlling yourself, you weren't lucid. Sorry.

Aliens are commonly seen with SP, I would look through the Tutorials to see if anything helps you personally.

      Good luck, and happy lucids.
      Bollocks.

Welcome to DV! I also joined about 10 minutes after discovering this site and, well, the rest is history

As far as avoiding dreams or SP you don't want, don't focus on the negative. I've never personally experienced SP, so I couldn't really give any advice on that, but I will tell you that worrying about what might happen does you absolutely no good. Worry and stress can make you sleep lighter and less and I find it gives me oddball dreams that don't make sense. So my advice is to focus on what you want to get out of dreaming and LDing and you'll be fine.

As for those alien-related dreams you're having, if you have them all the time, you can use them to become lucid. Think throughout the day "If I see an alien, I'll know that I am dreaming." Remind yourself of it before you go to bed and also decide what you're going to do when it happens. It's easy to become lucid and then just stand there wondering what to do. Decide ahead of time what you want to do and when you become lucid, do it!

Let us know if we can help. Best of luck to you

Heck if you WILD and see aliens, when you are in the dream beat them up Or has Ame said, tell yourself you will know you are dreaming and do a reality check when you see one in your dream.

Sleep paralysis isn't really that scary. Today was probably my scariest attempt and I had to break out of it because I never got the audio hallucinations before. But now I know what it's like. It just takes some getting used to that's all.

Today I had my first WILD, it was really interesting. Get used to doing reality checks when you get out of bed. As you probably will get lot's of False Awakenings. It was pretty rewarding so once you get the hang of it you should have lots of fun
      This is the WILD tutorial.

Edit: Make sure you get up about 4-7 hours later and do it. ( if you go to bed at say 12 or later and get up about 6,7, or even 8 SP is a lot less scary because it is light outside )
if you can read this then you are about to be punched
