      Turning off SP?

Just wondering if there has been any experimenting with people trying to move their physical bodies while in a lucid dream, I.E. willing your body to get up and stand beside your bed and then wake up standing there? I do realize that trying to "break this kind of boundry" is probably quite dangerous and shouldn't be attempted outside of a controled environment, but I would still like to know if there has been any work done on this subject.

hmm, well you're body becomes paralyzed when entering REM, so i don't think it's possible unless you have a sleeping disorder... this would probably be dangerous to attempt because it would break the natural cycle of becoming immobile.

I actually don't think this would work because for 1. sleep paralysis like Je33ica said and 2. being that awake to be able to will your physical body to move would probably wake you up, not to mention the effort in itself. It is extremely hard to move during sleep paralysis, that's the whole point of sleep paralysis. I say try it (as long as you don't sleep on a bunk bed), but I doubt it works.

I've had sleep paralysis quite a few times. Its not exactly easy to move and the second you do you'll wake up. Its like trying to pus a truck with its brakes on just to move ur finger.

Ive heard some people manage to open theyr physical eyes during LD, or move a finger abit. It could be fun thoughe to have such good controll once inside a dream that one could controll ones body like you was sitting infront of the mighty body controll panel. Push a button to cancel dream paralysis. And use a joystick to move ones body while one see what the eye sees, on a screen inside the LD on the controll panel... mmm

im not a big believer in OBEs anyway, but i seem to remember that if you wake up in an OBE your astral body gets snapped back to your physical body.
      Does that answer your question?

Out of Body Experience. In stead of traveling inside your own dreamscape, you travel outside your body trough waking reality...kind of like a ghost.

Turning off SP is hazardous for your health, if it's possible. You could hurt yourself very badly.
