I'm pretty sure you have to be in pretty much body unconsciousness, but I would try searching threads about SP also. |

I have been trying to WILD for a few weeks now and only have managed to be successful once. My main question involves inducing sleep paralysis. I can lay completely still for an hour or more and can feel a numbness in my hands and feet. I eventually get a pins and needles feeling in my arms and legs as if they were about to fall asleep. Does the actual paralysis occur gradually or does it happen instantly? The only time I did manage to get into SP I felt like I was asleep but regained awarness just beforehand. Since then I have not been able to repeat it as I seem to be too awake while trying to WILD. Can I enter SP while still completely awake or do I have to be close to unconscious/asleep to do it? |

I have experienced Sleep Paralysis many times as a child, but since then I have grown above it (it happened so many times I just learned to get over it). And I have experienced numbness in my limbs whilst lying on my back awaiting sleep. They are NOT the same thing. They are nowhere near. When I can feel numbness or tingling I change positions. |
