Is it considered as Lucid Dream?

HI... This is my first time posting...

      I'm 17 years old,Male,and i had experiences,not only once...

      When I'm dreaming,I know that i was dreaming,but, sometimes i can control myself,for example,i can use super ability,like flying,summon lightning storm,and so on(Maybe i too much watch heroes)and later,when i use my ability,it stopped suddenly,it didn't working(the abilities)

And when i know i was dreaming, and control it,i often make a wrong choices, mistakes during my journey, and when i start to make the mistake, somehow i think i must wake up,and... I wake up... Even if i'm still want to sleep...

Now,the question is.... Is it considered as a lucid dream? And why i'm still make a mistake, although i control my dream?

Please answer...I'm sorry for my languange,English isn't my mother languange...Thanks

Hello, Exoduz. Welcome to Dream Views!

First off, yes. You seem to be a natural lucid dreamer. A lucid dream is basically any dream in which you know that you are dreaming. Dream control (super abilities and stuff) is something that sometimes comes with lucid dreaming, but can often take a lot of practice to perfect. It seems that you might have a pretty good grasp on it.

And just the thought of waking up (or being too anxious about it) is often enough to make us wake up. Even some of the most seasoned lucid dreamers can't stop that sometimes. There are a few tricks I use to keep from waking up for as long as I can. One of which is to stare at my hands, which makes the dream more vivid and solid. If I do this when I feel the dream fading, sometimes I can stay in it for longer.

I'm going to move this over to the Newbie Zone, where you'll probably get some more feedback.

      Good luck in your journey.

Yes. Not being confident can greatly affect your dream control. It's a lot like being awake, in that, if you doubt whether or not you can do something, you're likely to fail. If you're confident you can do something, you have a much greater chance of success. In dreams, if you're worried about not being able to do something, or that something will be extremely difficult, you'll most likely find yourself to be right. The best way to execute control is forget about the "physical" laws of nature, and just do it.

It's like the kid in the Matrix said: "Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth...there is no spoon."
(And if you haven't seen the Matrix yet, you should. )

And don't worry about asking too many questions. That's what the community is here for!
