      Something funny after failed WILD

      hello!!!
It was 5:30 PM...so I said I would try to WILD...
I lie on the bed...relax a bit...and start counting my breaths....
I count to 1000 breaths out, however..I don't remember reaching 1000, but that was my goal, I remember stopping maybe at 940...I'm not sure...
The funny thing is that in some ocassions(780, 840) I felt something strange...like a wave all over my body, a cool(cold) wave but NOTHING more, I kept feeling my body and that....
when I started counting at 940 I don't remember what happened, maybe I felt on deep sleep for 10 minutes...because then I woke up....

      what was that....strange feeling?

Was a good time to practice WILD?(I think...NOOOTT!!!!)

What Can I do If I start to drift? because If I put a little more "effort" on counting my breaths, I feel that I become more aware, and that's not a good idea....

      thanks! just little doubts....

ah, I forgot the funny thing...
the funny thing is that when I woke up, I went to the bathroom, and then I went to the terrace...
and then...I found that my unconscious was still counting!!!!(333,334,335,336,337,338,339,340,331,3 32,333,334...and so)
      it was so strange!!!!

      bye!

The strange feeling was a natural part of the beginning phases of WILD. You were doing good until you fell asleep

IMO, afternoon naps are fine times to attempt the WILD. I think the problem was more in your level of concentration.

If you start to drift, try and begin to visualize a scene in your head. The most common one would probably be climbing/descending stairs. For me, this is a good way to remain aware without focusing too hard. In my attempts, counting my breaths is good for a while, but it keeps me from being as relaxed as I could be.

That wave of sensation is a tactile hypnagogic hallucination, which means you had kept yourself awake past the point where most fall asleep, which means good WILD progress
