      Hi, new here...

But not new to lucid dreaming. I am able to dream something, wake, fall back asleep, and continue the dream. I do this by simply remaining immobile in that moment that I wake up, not moving, not opening my eyes, etc. I can easily go back to the same dream this way. I have done this multiple times (read: 4-6 times) in the same night on many occasions, throughout my entire life.

I am also able, when the urge hits me, to repeatedly think of a certain person I want to dream about, picturing them, and when I hit sleep they will appear. I still can't entirely control what they do when I "summon" them but hey, still working on that.

Hi and welcome, if you didnt already know, what you are describing is a DEILD which stands for Dream exit induced lucid dream.

You can read more about it as well as other techniques here

Welcome Thera. I'm sure you'll find this is a great place to learn and talk about lucid dreaming.

If you're working on gaining stronger dream control you should view the task of the month threads and try to accomplish some of them. They are always fun and creative. They've helped me gain a better control, and knowing you get some forum perks is just more incentive to do them. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=74101

This is a list of tutorials http://www.dreamviews.com/tutorials.php ranging from all kinds of things like the acronym guide to the "61 point technique." Though much of it may already be familiar to you since you aren't new to lucid dreaming.

to DV. Just FYI, we call the method you are using DEILD, seems that you are very good at it, good for you. I look forwards to seeing you around the forums.
