Very brief lucidity

In my very first post here, I mentioned that I have a lucid dream once every few months. But nothing that I have actively pursued; in said lucid dreams, I "just knew" I was in a dream. However, in these dreams I never attempted to gain control (it was more like watching a movie in that I was along for the ride, but I knew it wasn't real.) So last night I had a brief moment of lucidity in my dream. I didn't actively perform and reality checks, it was just something that came to me and I knew I was lucid (i.e., there was a T-Rex chasing me. And then the T-Rex spoke to me. Perhaps that was enough for my brain to determine that I was dreaming w/o the use of reality checks.) Anyway, unlike my other lucid dreams in the past, once I realized I was only dreaming and that the T-Rex couldn't really harm me, I "willed" the T-Rex out of my dream and I flew away. And in my dream was I so damn excited that I was lucid dreaming. I couldn't believe that I achieved lucidity (especially since I've only been trying to actively LD for just a couple of weeks now.) But just as fast as I realized I was lucid, I had a false awakening. But even after "waking up" in my dream, I was still ecstatic that I attained lucidity (it's just a shame I didn't realize that I was still dreaming. LOL!!)
