First off, I just wanted to say how happy I am to run into this forum. I have known about lucid dreaming for quite some time but I never really gave it much thought. Recently, I have had some instances of random lucidity in dreams. Not so much doing what I want, ie: flying, but knowing that I was indeed dreaming. I also had a few nights of experiencing SP. I started to do some research and found that I've been visited by the Old Hag, (she's merciless...) and Shadow People/Evil Presence. (these guys have prevented me from going totally lucid ) I'm stoked that I wasn't crazy and these were part of the process of achieving total lucidity. Now that I know what's going on I can break through the barrier and gain lucidity.... Oh, the places I'd like to go and the things I'd like to do...

Welcome! Nice name. I would suggest going through Lucid Experiences, you might find more about the Old Hag there.

Thank you. So much to read and learn here. Unfortunatly, I've had a week of nothing but falling straight to sleep. I tried counting and concentrating on my breathing, listening to soft music, saying over and over "I will be lucid." I even counted my dog's snoring lol... I just couldn't get to the point of knowing I was falling asleep. Oh well, I have a lot of practice ahead of me.
