Wanting to Improve on my First Lucid!

So, I attained my first lucid through a semi-WBTB MILD. I did a WBTB-MILD and I had a very unimpressive, non-lucid dream. I woke up, but I was still tired so I went to sleep again and then I had my first lucid! The feeling I got when I became lucid was so amazing, everything felt clear and good and wonderful, it was such a surreal experience. When I got excited everything faded and I almost lost it, but I focused on my hand and managed to ground myself. There was less detail then there was when I first noticed I was lucid, though. I got impatient at that point and started to do other things, but along the way I lost my lucidity! I still knew I was dreaming but I didn't "Know" I was dreaming. Anybody have any techniques to help with that?

Also, is it weird that my second dream after a WBTB MILD was a lucid dream, and not the first?

EDIT: This is a detailed post of my dream, in the Lucid Experienced section. http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...54#post1055554
On LD hiatus. Probably will start again around new years.

Or, you know -- randomly throughout this year and next.

Congrats on the lucid. Good to hear you did a successful tech synthesis =)

Before the "you can't know and not be lucid" pitchfork wielding people get here, I'm gonna have to ask you to clarify what you actually mean by that above statement. Did you fall down to semi-lucidity? (see levels of lucidity in my sig) Or is it something else that you'd like to explain better?

It is a perfectly common occurrence that you had success right after a failure. We hear about stories like that on a regular basis. So much so that they almost keep pace with the stories where people get it first try.

I would say that in the blue text, I was 92% lucid, while in the end I was somewhere between 70% and 79%. I meant about that part where I knew I was dreaming, but wasn't lucid, I simply recall myself saying "This is such an awesome dream" but I didn't feel the same clarity that I did when the dream was first triggered.
