Hello! I have recently discovered this site and I'm really pleased. I've read about lucid dreaming a while ago, but I never really tried it. About a 2 weeks ago I got really into it. I've stared making reality checks pretty much all the time and I've improved my recall. I can now remember at least 2 dreams on most nights. I haven't had a lucid dream with the MILD method yet, but I'm trying to be positive and hope that sometime it will happen |

Main LD goals:
- Futuristic/sci-fi/cyberpunk big city
- Fantasy role-playing game
- Flight and other super powers
- Use lucid dreaming as a study-aid
- Personal development, inner peace etc
Oh, I'm already exited already. But I think that's the problem |

I've read that sleep cycles last 1.5 hours, so make that 4.5 hours, just to be sure. |

this probably isn't that helpful but just though I would tell you that as long as you keep trying it will happen eventually. Every time you attempt to WILD you are making progress whether you realize it or not. Laying down in silence for 40+ mins is probably something entirely knew to you unless you have meditated before... If you do give up after a while you simply don't have the desire to LD bad enough in this moment in time... and i guess, accept that. |

Actually, as I think of it now it could have been a false awakening. I haven't moved for a long time and started counting and saying "I am in a dream". After a while I kept messing up the numbers (after only 20 or so) and probably fell asleep at that time. When I "woke up" a few seconds later I could have actually been in a dream, but I fell asleep again thinking that I failed. Oh well. I plan on trying again tonight. |
