      Dark Lucids

I am new here but I am not. I have been reading posts and tutorials from this site for about a month going on two months. Since that time I have had about 6 lucid dreams....i think. The first four I had was about three days after visiting this site. With those I would know I was dreaming and when I tried to take control of it I would wake up .The next one was about 4 weeks later and that one was weird. I had been dreaming for a while and the dream kept repeating within itself so i knew i was dreaming so i decided to come out of it so i tired to take control of it. The sad part is my plan worked instead of having control of the dream i woke up...oh well. Last night is the dream in have trouble with. I had this problem with the first four also. When I became lucidit was only for a few seconds and the dream seemed half formed, black, and fuzzy. The very first lucid dream I had To took control of and as I was slipping out I formed a woman in front of me. But for all intents and purposes she was useless because i was waking up. she was also just like a shadow in the form of a woman.
Now for the question( after all that talking). Are these things normal for a beginner. Should I only be lucid for a few seconds and not in a well formed dream? And when you form things in dreams (as a beginner) are they always dark and featureless?

The kind of thing you are describing is nornal for EVERYONE, not just beginners. I think everyone here experiences what you did. I know I do on a regular basis.

Don't sweat it, some dreams are just dark and fuzzy.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I was wondering about this also. It happens to me too. I guess it's perfectly normal.
