      Hello everyone, newcomer interested.

      Hiyah.

Just joined this site as to get a better knowledge of what/how lucid dreaming is. I was ineterested in it before as my friend did it for a bit but fell out of it recently but I never really had the urge to do it myself. Mostly just how it works and stuff interested me.

I definitely want to try it now though. Gots a couple of questions though

How long did it take to get your first ACTUAL lucid dream? (i.e. You can recall the events and take control)

Why do you do it? is it because of the imagination and creativity you can unlock with it? Do you find out more about yourself?

I am usually a type of person who doesn't have a SUPER high patience time so with my mindset and attitude will it be harder for me to train myself as I will probably want to try and lucid dream as quickly as possible?

Also my biological clock is messed as I don't get to bed till late (LIke 12 PM or later on weekdays waking up at 7:30 the next day). Will this make it not possible for me to Lucid dream?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm a very interested person. Thanks!

      Hi SB!

It's great that your interest in Lucid Dreaming has picked back up. Don't worry about the wacky biological clock as there is probably something on this site that fits your sleep schedule.

About your patience level; I don't really know if that will or will not hinder your LD goal, but just know that it does takes both patience and practice. For some, it may come overnight, and for others it takes longer. But the wait is worth it, so if you ever feel discouraged don't feel as if you're wasting your time.

It took me 7 months to have my 1st LD. (But keep in mind that you don't have to take control for it to be a Lucid Dream; you just have to know you're dreaming.) I do it because it's a wonderful experience and it lets me explore my mind in a way I couldn't explore it before. The dreamworld is a beautiful place already, but it's beauty is magnified once you're Lucid.

And don't worry, you aren't asking a lot of questions. In fact, keep 'em coming! Any question that you need answered, don't hesitate to ask it.

      Wink

Agh, Once I had my first lucid dream, I could NEVER have another one until I forgot about it. But in terms of the biological clock, I don't think it should mess up the LD too much.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Question, I was reading about the adoption program and such and with the two weeks that I have to be here does that mean two weeks of regularily posting? I might not do as much posting as with these sites I usually just browse and such and ask the odd quesitons there.

My first Lucid dream was when I was around 10 years old, it was by complete accident. And of course I didn't know what Lucid Dreaming was at the time.

7 years later and here I am. I have had 6 or 7 lucid dreams before this site, all of them where accidental. and I have had 3 with the aid of this site

(When I say accidental I mean I suddenly realize I am dreaming for no apparent reason)

I think patience is a important thing to have, sometimes it can take months for the person to have their first forced Lucid. However, you could be the lucky few who get it quickly.

And there are all sorts of methods on this site, at least one will fit your biological clock.

      Good luck!
      and Happy luciding!

Welcome Spry! You can lucid dream, even if there's a conflict in your sleep schedule. Believe that you can.

      Hey there!

Im 14 and starting lucid dreaming last year after i checked out this website. ( last year June. i was 13 then). and ever since them i can remember more dreams in general. I lucid dream to do things i can't do in real life. Like fly.. Last night i drove a car, kind of boring though as the car just moved on its own... It just seemed cooled that when i read more it said you could do anything. Visit the planets, have sex, fly, play extreme sports!, visit the beach, and so on and it was free so i was like sure why not ( if this cost money im not sure if I'd still be doing it. lol)

How long it took me to have a lucid dream. I think it was maybe 2 months i believe. I really liked it though.

I still like the idea of lucid dreaming , i still have a lot to learn and a lot of things i should try to master...

Also the cool thing about it is that when ever im in a lucid dream i think " WOW my mind can create all this?" And it looks so much like what we see in reality.
"The world is your playground. There are bumps along the way but this playground comes with a fully equipped toolbox with equipment out there to solve ANY disease, problem or issue out there. ONE problem. Some tools are harder to find than others. Lucid dreaming is just one of them."
