      WOW/damnit :(

      hey all,

after all the reading iv done on this sight iv been trying to implement certain things into my nightly schedual. i tried the suggestive thing (dont remember what its called) where in your head you tell yourself to relax and be calm and that you will remember your dreams and such. just to see how well this worked i started to tell my self that i was feeling a pressure on my body pushing me down, and almost imediatly i started to feel this heavy pressure (not Sleep paralisis). i was amazed. but it began to feel uncomfortable so i told myslef that with every breath the pressure would slowly decrease. and bam, it worked.

actually, i just wanted to tell you how amazed i was.. and still am.

but i also have a question

now, this is quite a problem for me becuase i realize that i almost Never remember my dreams, once in a while i remember one when its very strange and i wake up during it, but nothing else, now i know i dream but i just have no recollection of it.

do you think its still possible for me to build up the skills of remembering dreams or even becomeing lucid.

cause iv been tring to write down my dreams but i find that when ever i wake (wether it be by alarm in the middle of the night, or in the morning) i cant remember jack.

      and thats just not cool.

      keep it up

      just keep trying drownthenunder

If you keep trying to remember your dreams, you eventually will remember one. When that happens, try remembering every single detail after you right a little down. If you dont remember everything, that's ok, just as long as you remember something and remember it long enought to write it down and revisit it every once in a while.

By remembering dreams like this you'll eventually get your dream recall built up to great strength. Remember, anything's possible with practice, perserverence, and faith (that it is possible and that you will do it). Especially in the Dream World

      Hiya Welcome to Dream Views!

I agree with Vox... Just keep it up! Like he said if you can’t remember the whole dream try to just write how it made you feel. Sometimes I will remember dreams during the day that I didn't remember upon waking up. Keep a dream journal and if it makes it easier for you post it here in the journaling forum. Also check out the dream recall tutorial if you haven’t already!!

      hey there downthenunder!

it sounds like you are quite susceptable to hypnosis and autosuggestion!

I would highly reccomend you try the HILD technique in the tutorials forum, it seems you would benefit from it a lot.

Or you could try the FAT technique, which is another form of autosuggestion but more complicated and more direct.

Tell us how you get on with these techniques, and dont forget to keep a dream journal if you are worried about dream recall, they help enourmously!

      good luck!

Also when you awake try to get into the habit of not opening your eyes. Along with this, try not to let any outside thoughts ( what am I doing today, what time is it, etc) to enter your mind while you focus on what you had just been dreaming.
Slowly moving from one position (still with your eyes closed) to another can pop up some recall of a dream. .......The theorey is that whichever way you were lyeing while in that dream is that your chances of recall improve. Fact or fiction? Hay what ever works

I find the same, but advise that you lie in the same position while going over the last dream. Moving around after you're happy with that, might be a added measure I haven't considered.
Could help pick up dreams you had in different positions

It does sound like BS - but it honestly works
My theory is that the way you feel in the dream has a lot to do with your physical sensation, and posture.

also try to focus in your dream content BEFORE you go to bed, i/e, while browsing through a certain site about jedi knights, and constantly thnk about dreaming about jedi knights may or may not trigger a jedi knight-related dream.
If your trigger works, then you'll recall your dream easier, and if it doesnt, at least you will know you DIDNT dreamt about jedi knights. Either way, it helops alot to think about dreaming constantly
