      Thumbs up Afternoon Dreaming

      hello everyone, i am new to the forum,
      I've been practicing lucid dreaming for a little while now (under a year) and it is going well, but I'm curious about afternoon-naps and their relation to the dream world.
      I enjoy a nice cat nap in the afternoon, and wondered how this effects your REM periods and if you can have Lucid Dreams. I've heard that you from certain places and wonder if it was possible, and if so....how?

      many thanks

      I am pretty sure REM occurs during this period, and I am positive you can dream during the afternoon .

      I most commonly hear of people attempting the WILD during naps.

      Thisi is a dream I had where vibration had a very negative effect in my health. Do you guys think that "someone" produced the illness?

      ~~~
      Dream Paralysis and Vibrations
      August 2008
      I am feeling an angry “male entity” attacking me. First part, I felt his face against the back of my neck, pressing hard. I felt a thick moustache and I tried scratching his eyes but did not have any effect; could not reach back enough.
      I am paralyzed, as always that I feel someone with all my physical senses in that strange state that is in the borderline of dream and reality and cannot be explained. I wake up. My eyes try to close, I struggle. I later fall asleep again.
      The second time it happens I am walking down a dimly lit alley and I pass a figure which I cannot determine whether it’s male or female. As I pass it I notice it starts to follow me slowly. I hurry up and it doubles its pace. Then he catches up with me and glues to my back. He starts to vibrate heavily and my body with him –stress on my back, my column.
      I try, in my paralysis, to wake up, and I can do it. It is very difficult to stay awake but somehow I pass the threshold where I know he is not around anymore. The sensation of forced sleep goes away and I can close my eyes and go to sleep without the problem.
      Note: several dreams having to do with movement, vibration AND my back happens during 2008/2009 before I have surgery on my back in 2009.
      I lucid dream and almost OBE
      I think that you should refrain from placing off topic posts in other people's threads.
      If you're seeking help, you should make your own thread in the section of the site you feel it would fit best .
      [EDIT]
      I'm not really sure what you having SP during naps has to do with this anangeli, unless you're implying that you can get lucid during naps. The point was that your original post has nothing at all to do with this thread.
      I think trying to WILD in the afternoon is a lot harder, you need to be able to relax really quickly.
      I think i could do that, im good at falling alseep really fast ect.
      The only thing is recall, as my sleeping routine doesn't permit me to remember lots of dreams. Just another reason to love lie-ins though
      Plus, i've only had 3 WILDS before, im more of a MILD man...
