      Q About Hypnologic imagery

I have a question about Hypnologic imagery; is this everything you see when you close your eyes?

I could close my eyes right now and see things, like colors or objects.. just wondering if that is HI

      Its 'hynagogic imagery' AFAIK
And no, its not generally all the imagery you get when closing your eyes - its more like mini dreams that you get while falling asleep
It only happens in that state of mind where your brain waves change frequency/form

question for placebo, Is all the hypnagogic imagery highly visual or is it sometimes more imagined?

I see all kinds of colors and lights and shapes with my eyes but I start having what I think are mini dreams but they are mostly in my mind I think. It's like a scene or a situation and people will enter my mind but I dont think Im actually 'seeing it'. It's hard to explain but sometimes while watching the imagery I'll remember what feels like a dream, a very short one maybe 5 seconds or so, but I dont notice it while its happening. mmm I need to be adopted I think.

Adoption is easy now. Usually you can just pm a DG with a request to get adopted by somebody, and they accept. Although occasionaly you need to bribe the DG with money...*hint hint*

Fersteger - I'm not sure on technicality, but I consider both the mini dreams, and the light/colour changing to be HI
Do you have a problem with HI in some way?

About the adoption - my timezone is usually a problem for everyone... Some of my adoptees could simply never get me online

Try find something to keep your focus, past and through the HI
Eg. the humming, buzzing sound you hear, when in total silence...
Or perhaps start counting, and imagine the numbers being written down (in colour, etc)

Try to prevent the HI from distracting you from being aware of yourself

Its a fine balance though, because if you totally ignore HI - you tend to have a harder time falling asleep.
Everyone's different, so you'll have to find your particular balance

I to have a problem lying still for some reason. When the body starts to get restless, even while i know that when the body is getting restless its really just a check the brain does to see if im awake. But im working on it.
