Hello, New here. Songs in Lucid dreams?

Hello, I'm a long time reader and have had lucid dreams many times as a child, and as a young adult today. My question is that as hard as I had tried, I could never get music in my LD. can it happen? I'm a Iron maiden lover, and alot of their songs speak of lucid dreams and dreaming of the dead. I would love to have one of their songs in one of my Lds.

It can happen. Most of the music i hear is a combination of a bunch of songs.

Cool, anyways do induce music in your LD's? I would love to listen to dance of death by iron maiden while having a LD of whats happening in the song. Kinda like your own music video lol if that makes any sense.

In a lot of lucid dreams, I will randomly start singing a song I never heard before. Weird, because I never sing in real life (besides the occasional drunken karaoke). I don't remember ever trying to hear a song. I know I've had music playing before, or a song stuck in my head.

Yea I've managed to do this a couple of times just by humming the song I wanted to hear. Just start singing it and expect it to 'play', and it will

I find that listening to similar music to the song your looking for can help. For example, listen to a playlist where the you would expect the next song to be your preferred one before sleeping.
I was once a passionate Iron Maiden fan, & I love the Dance of the Dead song you mentioned. I think Paschendale is my favorite of their songs.
You said that they talked about Lucid Dreaming, which song(s) in general? [I haven't listened to many of their lyrics intuitively, but I'm sure I should've noticed that somewhere]

A very noticable song in my dreams have been like a re-done version of Breaking Benjamin's Unknown Soldier.

It's really amazing too...I'll have to try and remember the words and write them down.

In some of my dreams a random song would pop up and it suits the environment well... strange -__-

It could be my mind's doing, after all.

I remember hearing music in my non-LDs
some background music like in movies would be cool
using Lds to compose songs might be fun

Test to find a CD-player and play it. Maybe you'll have to find a CD of the song,i have no idea.
I heard of guy, when he had his first LD,he was running around with a shootgun as Matrix. When he was in a intence and exciting Matrix-style battle, he heard the song of Matrix. So test doing something related! Wouldn't hurt to try.

But i think you'll have to know the song good, or it will sound weird i quess.

I don't usually get music in my dreams, but sometimes.

      - a song on a radio, which sounded exactly like it could have should have and was done by the Who. Except the Who never recorded such a song.

      - a trip to the future, where I had been reborn and was a child. I went into a department store and explored a lot of strange looking futuristic electronic gadgets with the functions of televisions and computers etc. There was music playing on some of it.

      - a huge empty building, ornately finished off inside almost like a church or a temple. There was music which sounded like it was inspired by Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir", except the singing was without any definite words, which echoed distantly. After a lot of hunting and climbing oddly shaped staircases, I tracked the music to what looked like an altar room. But there was no one in the room, and once I approached the altar the music seemed to come from everywhere else except where I stood.

I play guitar. Years ago, I dreamed that Tool was playing outisde my house. When I woke up, I remembered the guitar riff and recorded it onto cassette. If this riff ever turns up on one of their albums, it'll be very freaky!

On another note, I often fall asleep listening to music or watching DVD's. This music sometimes winds up as background music to the dream. One time I was dreaming of exploring this abandoned creepy house, and the menu music from the DVD I was watching IRL kept repeating over and over and it was so weird. In the dream, the sound was all around me like at a loud concert and I couldn't find the source of it and it was driving me crazy.

Well I'm not an expert in Lucid Dreams, but I can easily start/stop/speedup/slowdown any music I heard, while I'm awake. And I don't think LD would make this harder. Actually I think it would make it easier, because the outer world won't distract you. I think try not expecting the music to play from some outer source, or by itself. Instead cause the music yourself. If You can remember it, you can play it easily, by making it louder. BTW: I never tried this myself in a dream, but while awake it goes easily.
