Question Are these hypnogogic hallucinations ?

Almost every time I go to sleep, I see random 2-D Images/scenes as a drift asleep.
Yet I'm still in tune with my environment, Such as the television, cd player, ect. ect
I can control them, and stop them. but also, I can just let them play, and continue to be random. What are these?? Im not sure if they are hypngogic(excuse my spelling) hallucinations or not.

Yup, that sounds like hypnagogic hallucinations.

Yeah, sounds like HI to me! They can be a lot of fun=P. I love waking up after some HI and going over in my head the images I saw thinking to myself "wtf? why was I think of ____", hahaha. Welcome to the boards.

Well I need some hint about HI. The thing I think are HI is when I'm in a semi phase of sleeping, I see colourful swirls, like a mirror lake with some gently rain drops falling in, pretty beautiful though and I'm not really aware of what's going on around me cause I'm putting all my attention to these swirls. If there's a TV or my father snoring, the sounds will disappear cause I'm clearly falling asleep but then my feet/hand twitch and I "woke up". Are these HI?
