      non-lucid dream about lucidity.

A few times already I've had a dream where I was dreaming about learning about lucidiy, or thinking of dreams, and ever looking at one of my books called The Art Of Dreaming but for some reason this didnt spark licidity..

What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

You are doing nothing wrong. This is totally natural. Whatever you are spending time doing in real life will likely reflect itself in your ordinary dreams. If a considerable amount of thinking time or study time on any topic, be it LDing to horseback riding, you should be having dreams about it. Some people think you should RC every time you think about lucidity, (I really don't believe that, but it may be worth a try since it's apparently successful for some people.) Just keep using the techniques, and if your unconcious self already has lucdity on the mind, you should be LDing in no time.

Something similar to this happened to me one time. I was in a non lucid dream about school, and I had 10 minutes before the bell rang. I decided to sit in my desk and "WILD" (I really just went to sleep) and then I kind of woke up. Though I wouldn't quite call it a False Awakening, I woke up inside of the dream and realized that my WILD had worked right and I became lucid. Anyways, I think just reality check every time you do the same thing that you do in dreams a lot. The problem a lot of people have with it is they don't pay attention when they reality check. They do it without thinking. For example, they'll try to put their hand through their palm, and when it works, not pay attention long enough to realize it shouldn't work. The trick is to find a reality check that works for you. For example, I always look at my watch. I take my watch off about once every 2 months, and even then for no longer than a day, so I always have it on. When I want to reality check, I look at it and see if anything's weird, like the time moving really fast, or if I look at it once and it's one time, and look back and it's skipped two hours.

Either way, sorry for the wall of text, and welcome to DreamViews.
