Yep, I have a journal. I average 4 recalls a night. I kick myself every morning for not doing a reality check during my dream, because my dreams are so farfetched. I don't know what to do!!!

Well it would be a good idea to increase the RC you do.
Have like a 'RC' written on the palm of your hand and every time you notice it during the day, do a reality check.

After a while of having a DJ you will find out what your dream sign is, so that should help.

Other than that you could look into some other techniques.

What kind of dream sign am I looking for? Some people talk about having birds in their dreams? I never have anything like that. The most reoccurring thing I can think of in my dreams is when I'm looking in my fish tank and there are a ton of weird fish in it, but that only happens every one in 10 I bet.

They don't have to be in every dream. They just have to occur most of the time. But this could be anything from an object to a dream character.
For example, my dream sign is seeing my old friends.

To be honest, some people don't have dream signs at all. this means they will have to make do without.

If you remember to do a RC every time something strange has happened or unexplainable that might show through.
Another good one is to do a RC every time you go through a door.
