Step 1. Dream Journal |

Ok so this is my first post, I've been browsing these forums and others for a long time now and the idea of lucid dreaming is something that I find very interesting. However, I have a pretty big hurdle to overcome which is why I decided to finally post. |

Rovman, it is interesting that you say you cannot remember your dreams.. I believe you, because I know it is possible for people to struggle with that. |

Hey man, I had HORRIBLE recall for the first few WEEKS I tried. Like zero recall no matter how hard I tried. You just have to keep on trying and keep on thinking about dreaming every time you go to sleep. Now, a month later, I'm having multiple and vivid dreams nightly. If you've never had a dream your entire life, you might want to set your alarm clock to wake yourself up during REM cycles. You'll need to try this several times to get it right. But you need to know what a dream is like in order to affirm to yourself that you'll have one. But if you've dreamt even once, that's enough... just go to bed every night fully expecting that you'll wake up remembering your dream, and when you wake up immediately ask yourself what just happened/what you were just doing. |

Try setting an alarm to go off a few hours into your sleep. Try to make it something that will gently wake you up. Waking up to a loud alarm or a person or in a rush usually makes me forget mine. Try a cell phone on the vibrate setting, for me this is perfect. |
