Hi! I've known about Dream Views for about a year or so, but never really bothered to register (or registered and forgot, one of the two). I've read a considerable amount on lucid dreaming (Certainly not to say I know everything, I'd love to learn more) and have spent the past year or so casually trying to master it. As in, not putting forth much effort.
I've had a handful of lucid dreams, two or three being the most vivid and lasting the longest. My main problem is waking up as soon as I'm lucid, which I know probably has to do with my mindset on the matter, because I always think I'm going to wake up. I've tried everything from spinning to grabbing objects in my dreams to just screaming "STAY SLEEPING", and in the end it only makes the feeling of waking up more vivid. It becomes a terrible feeling after a while, as if I'm being just ripped out of one reality and into another. It's kinda scary, and I really do hate it. Any help would be appreciated so I don't have to bother anymore.
I have one primary reason for joining here: keeping a dream journal. I am always far too lazy to actually bother with one when I first wake up, but I really, really need to do it because I have no dream sign and tend to only recall the dreams I have after falling back asleep in the morning. I think that posting it on an actual forum might add more pressure to me doing it, because I'd be embarrassed if I missed a day because I was lazy, and because it would keep me from being too detailed on the dream and drawing it out (I'm a writer, everything I write is super detailed and drawn out. . . such as this. I'll shut up now!) So yeah, I'm going to leave my laptop on the page for starting a dream journal topic, put it next to my bed, and go to sleep now. Hopefully I'll have something to post in the morning. Glad to be here! ^_^
