      Newbie WORRY

Ok first of all i'd appreciate not being judged by this question so if you don't have anything nice to say... and so on

I have just started researching LD's and am keen to give it a try eventually but I have one concern and that is in the past I have had normal dreams which have been great and i've felt deflated waking up to reality for a short amount of time.

Theres quite a bit of talk about depression being caused or induced by having LD's so i'm worried if I have a fantastic LD depression may follow more severely then from in the average good dream.

Does anyone have a problem with this and is there an effective way to get around it that you have found?

      thanks!

Altough I'm new here, I think it's a matter of attitude. If you would be like, "yay I had a fantastic lucid dream, and tonight I will have another", you wouldn't be depressed. And anyways, in a good LD, you can live out all your desires, so you won't be that depressed when you wake up.
Once again, I'm new here, and this is my personal opinion.

There have been people who have had this problem on DV. Sometimes, people do get too excited about sleeping and alienate the RL. Thing is, lucid dreaming can do the exact opposite. By lucid dreaming, you can become more motivated in life seeing as you no longer have to daydream or focus on un-real things. Just save it for sleep! Also, most people upon having a great lucid wake up refreshed and encouraged. The better the LD, the more encouraged most people are. At any rate, if you don't like it you can always stop.
