      Hello Everyone

I just found this site after searching for a forum on dreaming. I have always been...beset?...by dreams, especially lucid dreams (more so when I was younger) and precognitive dreams (more so now) I will say that I prefer ordinary dreams, because those are the dreams, in my opinion that are most up for interpretation. I like lucid dreaming as well when I can stay in the dream for enough time to get some work done, and hopefully I will learn how to start lucid dreaming again from this forum.

I do not like precognitive dreams. Anyone who really has them will know why I say that. They make you feel insane; they're useless for interpretation; and you never know that you've had one until after the fact.

I've had OOB experiences in dreams, sleep paralysis, and night terrors (when I was young).

But now, I'm really into the interpretation of dreams. I think people in our advanced world undervalue dreams, and in so doing they miss out on the messages that dreams bring to us. I whet my wistle with interpretation on another forum at AARP, and I really liked it. I really like doing it. So, now, hopefully, I've found a much more busy site, and I will get to read some dreams.

But I'd really like to learn more about lucid dreaming. I used to do it a lot, and it stopped when the precognitive dreams started. Now, I'd like to get rid of the precognitive dreams and get the lucid ones back.

Anyway, thank you for having me, and I really am looking forward to this experience.

Welcome to DV, Gerome! I wish you the best of luck in getting back into LDing.

I also believe that our society undervalues dreams, or at the very least deems them unimportant in everyday life. I, personally, take a more personal approach in terms of "interpretation" in the sense that not every dream is prophetic or that every element has a symbolic meaning corresponding to one's life. At the same time, I don't discount dreams which do display a degree of importance to the dreamer or those around him/her. I hope that you can find peace with your dreams.

      See you around!

I agree that not all dreams are worth interpreting. The dreamer's recall may be too scattered, or the dream may be too fleeting.
