Why hello there, and welcome to DV

As you didn't mention this in any of your posts, I'd just like to mention dream recall (how well you remember dreams) to be sure ^^

Dream recall is of course a vital ability with lucid dreaming, so you can actually remember them Other than that it increases your awareness of your dreams. So if you don't already do, try to keep a dream journal. Basically every time you remember a dream, doesn't matter how much of it, anything will do! Write it down in your journal, this will improve your dream recall a lot, besides that you'll be able to spot dream signs and other repeating patterns in your dreams to help you realise that you're dreaming, thus a higher chance of more lucid dreams!

And since you're a beginner here's some tutorials for you to start off with:

http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=65032 (The DILD technique, might be good to start off with as a beginner, but of course do feel free to explore all the other techniques and see what works best for you)

And then to compliment DILD here's other vital things that'll generally help you a lot:
      http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=75427 (About Reality checks)
      http://dreamviews.com/community/show...6&postcount=88 (MILD method)
      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=65236 (About Dream signs)

      Hope you'll enjoy your stay!

Well, hi there. We've got a lot of different techniques scattered all around the website, some of them useful, and some of them not. I'd go to the tutorials section, because they usually have some amount of testing. And remember that what works for one person might not work for the next. By the way, I wanted to say something about your reality checking. When you do a reality check, you have to put conscious thought into it. If you do it just as a habit without thinking about it, you might look down at a hand with 7 fingers, and not pay any attention to the fact that it's different.

      Either way, welcome to DV.

      Hey.

Well you can try keeping a goal like what you want to do when you are lucid next time. This helps with motivation and it helps to imagine it after a failed reality check.

      For example:

      Hmm... could I be dreaming?
      *Reality check*
Okay, I'm not dreaming now, but if I were dreaming... I would fly over that building since that is one of my goals.

Soon enough, this should happen in a dream only since if you become aware that you are dreaming, you have the option to act out this goal. It sets the mind to becoming lucid.
