Obviously im new!

Hello all! Just a quick intro of myself- obviously im new here! But i stumbled across the site one day at work (and obviously im enthralled by my wrk) Iv been reading all about LD and watched almost- well no not all most- litterally- every video on u tube about LD. Iv been trying for what seems like EVER to have a LD. i told my bf about LD and how interested and excited i was to try and have them- iv just started my DJ, because it seems my biggest hurdle is dream recall- this i think has alot to do with the fact that im not sober when i sleep- i tend to--whats the word... medicate herbally if you will- and of course the same day i tell the bf about LD he experiences one that same night just my luck. so iv been keeping a journal- n its worked really really well- i had a scene of a dream where i became ludic for just a moment- and got too excited and wasnt lucid anymore- this is before the DJ- but i put that one in there because i carved that scene into my memory so i wouldnt forget it- but anyways- thats in my DJ- and then the first night of my DJ- i put that in there- and then the following night i was able to remember portions of two dreams- put thos in there- third night- nothing- and so on till last night which is my 5th entry- I HAD ANOTHER LUCID MOMENT! unlike last time where it took me a while to realize "hey im obviously dreaming standing in this empty, unfamillar feild" this one i immediatly knew i was dreaming i was thinking 'hey the skys purple! im dreaming! and im aware of it!!!" at this point i got myself a lil worked up with excitement and i could see my surroundings getting dimmer- i thought "ok calm down- your dreaming but dont wake up- try and spin" i tryed it didnt work really- everything continued to dim- and i thought "ok next thing you see is a dream- you will be dreaming again in a few moments" then soon after everything went black n next thing i kno its morning and i gotta go to wrk so it didnt really wrk- BUT im really really excited that i even accomplished it at all! so thers a long story to read- the POINT i was making is that im very excited to have found this site- i think it will really help me not only experience LD but to have more advanced LD in the future! SO thanks!!!! to everyone on here! for all ur postings its really helping me!!!

Welcome to DV Congrats on the start. I'm sure you'll progress. People here are very helpful. So if you have questions, don't hesitate to create a thread asking. You can also PM a dream guide (that's the people with green names), I'm sure they'll help as much as they can. Though I'm sure you've already seen it, check out the tutorial section. And, out of curiosity, are you primarily trying for DILD or WILD?

to DV. The tutorials, linked to by khh, are the best on the internet for lucid dreaming. MILD and WBTB are the best techniques for newbies. Don't forget your dream journal

well just for right now i'm mainly focused on dild- but eventually id love to get into wild- i pretty much just want to explore all possibilities and experience as much as i can!

Sounds like you are making great progress, and already getting some lucids. Keep up whatever you are doing.
