Hello everyone! Its impressive to have found such an interesting and passionate group online, such as your own :-) After reading some posts and seeing the vastness of your group i had to join I have been a member of the Yahoo group “Lucid Dreaming” for about a year now and someone recommended this place to me as that group was kinna losing its edge (unfortunately as it used to be great).

I would just like to introduce myself, my name is Curtis Owen (21) and I’m currently living in England (Stoke on Trent). I’ve been interested in dreams from an early age, but only seriously focused on it as a new language since the start of this year. From a sprong all things dreamlike have interested me from the work of David Lynch, Tim Burton to the Beatles and Nightwish. I have kept a dream journal for 11 months now, on and off, its been interesting trying to keep a log of dreams. At the moment I am more interested in letting my dreams communicate with me rather than achieving lucidity, I enjoy sitting back and listening to my imagination rather than jumping in head first to control my dreams. I always find the narrative interesting as I dream about crazy things. One dream I had last week (if you guys are interested) was about Spiderman and the Green Goblin, instead of them being individual characters within a comic book apposed to each other, Spiderman and the Green Goblin were the same person, it was a split personality trait that Spiderman didn’t realize, he didn’t realize he was actually fighting his alter-ego, it was all in his mind, he was fighting himself. I think this stems from my personality (the suconsious mind trying to tell me to chill out or somthing) Im interest in books that deal with the imagination; Alice in Wonderland, Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Peter Pan, like to read Carl Jung, about Alchemy, Horror etc. I’m a big fan of Alan Moore’s work, who I personally consider a genius, promethea is a must read if you are interested in the bizarre world of our imagination.

If anyone in this group would like to start a conversation that would be excellent, with living in the modern world, its not very often I get to talk to people about Lucid Dreaming, as most people consider me a crack pot (lol). People lose the real importance in life so its such a great feeling to see so many people here! I am gaining interest in Stephen La Berge, I read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming in June and found it an invaluable source of information and delight. I used to be at university studying A BA in film studies down in cornwall, now my life is boring as I have to work like the rest of us After I stopped smoking Pot, my dreaming has become more constant and I’m trying to stabilize my waking life to adopt Lucidity, it works on and off but to keep myself in a meditative state during the day is difficult, people look at you strange when i start looking up to the trees and watching traffic (lol) its all fun though. Hope to make new friends and talk about Lucid dreaming and stuff in the same vien.

Stay Lucid!
