Collective Dreaming?

First off, I'm new here, and relatively new to lucid dreams. I read about this phenomenon while reading this site's how-to guide on lucid dreaming. I found this to be very interesting... and it's had me wondering since. Has anyone here had a collective dream with someone? If so, is this comething that can be controlled? Is it possible to visit others' dreams at your own will? Any comments on this topic will be much appreciated, thank you.

hi and welcome to DV! you best head for the "beyond dreaming" section of the forum most people here will tell you that it's impossible and that if you see someone in a dream it's just your mind making him up - and it's actually like that 99.99999% of the time, however, Budhists that created dream yoga- from which modern day lucid dreaming is derived from were pretty clear that it's possible, but you need to be a dream yoga master or extremely lucky for this to occur. I myself was quite skeptical, then I saw this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVL-TvFJ878 I'd be very cautious about assuming people in your lucid dreams are real- unless you have overwhelming real life evidence to the contrary I would not

!! You must mean shared dreaming. That's a hotly debated topic on these forums. Some think it's possible, and some do not. Most of those-for use of a better word-discussions take place in our Beyond Dreaming sections. You may find better answers there if you post a topic. Sometimes dream sharing topics become flame wars really fast, so if you feel you want to avoid that, private message DuB or Man of Steel and ask if you can have access to the Deep Dreaming section of the site. While not very active, it is a place to discuss BD topics without having to worry about fights. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.
