Hello, my name is Sara and I'm from California.
I've always had an interest in lucid dreaming but I've never really had the drive to get into it. I'm hoping that this forum will help give me the encouragement I need to get started.
Another reason I'm becoming more interested in the subject is that I'm currently trying to become a writer. I'm working on a book, and I wont bore you by getting into the finer details of the plot but it revolves very strongly around dreams. The main character is quite frequently in dreams, both her own and others. Because of this, I thought it would be very useful to get into lucid dreaming. This would help give me dreams to put in the story, and it will help me be able to better write what a dream might look or feel like.
So also, in addition to using this forum to further my own lucid dreaming, I would be greatly appreciative if people would be willing to talk to me about their lucid experiences and what some certain traits I should put in dreams (like how books are often empty, or clocks always change, etc.) Also, I do have to sort of "collect dreams" to put in by book, I'm mainly collecting from my friends and family, but if anyone has a dream they would be willing to let me write about (I wouldn't put your name in or anything too personal, if people are worried) it would be wonderful!
So, *gasp! * I'm certainly coming across long-winded, aren't I??
Thanks! And I'm so glad I found this forum!
