Newbie :) and also a question

I tried to read the whole forum just to see if my question can be answered but I can't seem to find anything.

I've been having dreams of my high school for a while (even though it's been a few years since I've been out of high school) but this is my first time having this kind of dream.
I had a dream of a celebrity who went to my school and for some reason I really want him to sit next to me and basically be around me. And in the dream he is not a celebrity but just someone that I want to hang out with, does this make sense? I usually don't remember my dreams but this one it just seems to stick to me.

This is nothing unusual and makes perfect sense. In our dreams, we accept many things that would not make sense in the waking world. The simplest way to explain this would be that our logic takes a holiday while we're dreaming.

When it comes to lucid dreaming, a very important concept is that of the reality check. So how do we know to question reality in our dreams and figure out that we are dreaming? Simple.. make a habit of questioning reality in our waking life. This habit will carry over into our dreams.

You can find a lot here on "reality checking".
