Hello, only recently have I started to regularly remember my dreams through practice. When laying in bed after focusing on my breathing and quieting my mind I will tell myself "I will remember, I will remember...", and this has worked for me so far. I have not kept a constant dream journal, although I do have one.

I've also noticed that in my dreams I am myself, but I have no control over my own actions. I've done some reading on this site already, but from what I read the tutorials concern mostly becoming lucid. These would help more if I could perform these reality checks, but as I said I feel that I can't control myself. Perhaps I am controlling myself, but because the situations I am in seem real I simply don't realize what is happening.

Anyway, I came to this forum because it seems friendly, and very well put together. After seeing Waking Life I have been inspired to discover what I can learn about myself as that is my goal: knowing myself. It's great to be here! :]
