I'm a new poster that just discovered these forums. I've attempted lucid dreaming before, but I abandoned it around this time last year. Most of the methods I've tried have called for relaxation, and hoping that something happens. I'm not very keen on the idea of interrupting my sleep cycle or waking up in the middle of the night (unless it happens naturally). Most of my problems seem to stem from not being able to fall asleep easily. Once I fall asleep I usually sleep long and deeply, but it regularly takes me more than an hour to fall asleep. So my questions to you are:
- Is there a method that allows one to lucid dream without waking with the aid of an alarm clock?
- Is there any easy way to fall asleep?
- Is it normal to involuntarily twitch while falling asleep?
and - Is there a position for lucid dreaming that is both comfortable and effective?

Thank you all in advance, and I hope that I didn't make your eyes bleed. I just wanted to be thorough.
