Red face Oh dream sign, why do you elude me everynight?

      Hey guys,

So happy to have found these forums, which really helps you feel that you are not alone on attempting to become lucid. I have been trying for about 1-2 months now and have had several successful lucid dreams. Basically every time though I just say hi im lucid and off I go...(during a dream) I never ask myself the question am I dreaming i mean, its more like I am dreaming

Anyway. I have been keeping a dream journal all this time and am up to remembering about 3 dreams a night in decent detail. Ive spotted my dream signs but they have not helped me at all. The main obvious one is 2 years ago I moved cities... All my dreams are located in common places in my old city (lets say it rotates through 3-5 areas in the old city). Yet every night im running through these same places in my old city like "hey this is normal" and i just cant ever notice it.

Shall I look for another dream sign, or does anyone have any ideas on how I can turn this into my dream sign ("Wait I dont live here anymore!")... if I COULD.. then i could become lucid practically every night

to DV flamingo!!! May I ask though, why do you feel as if you need a dream sign? While very helpful to many, it's not required to LD so I wouldn't stress over it if I were you. What method(s) are you attempting?
Things are not as they seem

Thanks Jeff! Your probably right, dream signs just do not work out for me. I read somewhere that they are a good way to go lucid and one of the reasons to keep a journal is to spot the signs (i really like keeping journal to help with dream recall though). But to be honest dream signs do not help me, well not the ones that I look out for. When a 1000 pound giant women is trying to squash me that is a big enough dream sign for me (the moment I became lucid i became a 2000 pound giant man and she quickly ran away lol).

So im using Mild.. doing my reality checks during the day (looking at hands and nose pinch) I have not once done a reality check in my dream though. But doing them during the day keeps me aware enough to simply know that im dreaming.

I tried WILD last night after reading more about it here. I woke up after a few hours sleep tried to stay awake for about 10 mins... I at first was in a bed paralyzed in someone elses house... But was like 10% lucid and couldnt even get out of bed! I slipped out of that and then tried again and this time was a little cooler, I saw a dream vision on my cell phone and moved the phone screen right up to my eyes and moved into the scene on the phone! (I might try this again it was quite effective). Anyway once in the dream my lucidity was poor (as it is in most of my 4-5 lucid dreams over the past cpl months) I have like 3 second moments of incredible clarity where it looks even more real...then real life (if that makes sense) but i lose it so quick. At least this time I remembered to rub my hands together which bought me another 2 seconds lol.

I know I shouldnt be complaining but im still waiting for that lucid dream where ive got full control and can slowly walk around and observe my surroundings... This site is going to help me get there I hope
