      Talking hi people :D

Hi ive just spend the last day n a half of my time at work reaserching lucid dreaming and am really interested. I can only recall two dreams in my life where i knew i was dreaming but this was a long time ago and untill now didnt even know there was a term for it. (thort i was just mad lol) from what i remember from the dreams they were awsome and like absolute freedome.

Im very interested in training my mind to be able to achieve lucid dreams now and have been RCing all day and telling myself that next time i dream i will know its a dream lol. i have read all the info on this site and am going to go to work at trying to make this happen for me.

I just wanted to say hi to everyone here and i hope i can dream weave like the rest of you soon . if anyone wants to talk about their experiences or have any more advice on how to really get good at this im more than happy to talk.

im gona go fall asleap in my car now for my hour lunch n see what happens lol.

      cheers

Yea i have yet to have a LD but i just started keeping a DJ on the forums, i am getting a notebook today because i noticed when i got up this morning waiting for the laptop to wake up (its a crappy IBM thinkpad) took forever and i wasnt concentrating on my dream i had. But i have tried WILD 2 times and only one time i felt weightless and tingly and saw some colored shapes but i was woken up by my mom sooo..didnt get to see what happens next lol. Im gonna improve my recall before i try, but i will do RC out the day and stuff hopefully it will help.

Hey, welcome! I'm a newb too (just started researching last week) and had my first LD last night! whoot! I found the hand reality check worked great (that's what happened last night) and I think just reading about it and thinking about LDing really helps. And a dream journal is a must!

      Cheers!

It was pretty cool but I forgot part of it because I guess I was too tired to write it down so I fell asleep again and wrote it out in the morning.

Anyways this is what I remember: I look at my hands and they are all blurry and double visiony so I think "I must be dreaming!" then I tried to stay calm because I didn't want to wake up. Then I was trying to think of what I wanted to do and I did a spin to make sure the dream stayed vivid. I decided to do an experiment and change my hair color. I thought of a color and shook my head and my hair changed neon pink and got longer (I was looking in a long mirror in an attic type room). Then I shook my head again and changed it to metalic colors, kinda like tinsle, lol. Then at one point I try flying by jumping but can't get in the air. That's all I remember.

At first when I woke in the morning, I thought I had had a dream about having a lucid dream because it happened so fast and it lasted longer than I would have thought for a first time (almost too good to be true). But I do think it was real because I remember knowing I was dreaming. It was so wierd!

No, I didn't remember many dreams before last week. I used to when I was younger though and had a little DJ years ago.

So last week when I started reading up on this, I put a DJ by my bed and I also set the alarm to 4.5 hours after bedtime. Then in bed before I fell asleep, I repeated to myself "I will remember my dreams tonight". I kept repeating that out loud, then in my head, and it was the last thing I was thinking about before I fell asleep. Then I didn't even need the alarm clock because I woke up a bit before it and wrote a dream down and then 2 more times that night. Since then, I've done the same thing most nights and can remember 1-3 dreams per night. Sometimes I'm just too tired to write them down though which sucks.

So just make sure the last thing you think about when going to bed is "I will remember my dreams tonight". It actually does work!
