Hi! I've got a few questions.

Hello Everyone! I already made a long post but freaking pressed backspace or something and the whole thing deleted so I'm not going to type it all again.

Here is the summary: I've had vague lucid dreams, with no control.

I've attempted WILD/WBTB. Followed instructions of a fellow DVer.

      -Slept 5 hours
-Woke for 1 hour reading lucid dreaming articles.
-Laid down and focused on breathing.

Here is where I get confused. I felt like my legs were becoming a bit numb... I is this normal? Or was I just laying still too long. Also, should I be closing my eyes during this period? Because I was. I lay there for at least 20-30 minutes and yet I didn't see "Flashing lights or imagery." I don't know it it has to do with my dream recall or something.

My dream recall is O.K 1 dream a day usually. I don't keep a dream journal, which I am planning to start. I have just started to try LDing so I don't know. The first time I LDed was just by sheer luck and it was not very vivid at all and I woke up seconds after I realized I was dreaming.

Why don't I see the imagery? What should I feel, tingling? I heard vibrations are the norm, but I didn't feel that. Soo... Can you describe how it feels usually in more detail? (Yes I know it varies but just in general.).

I'm really excited about this and have the ability and the patience to stay still for long periods of time. How long does it take to WILD usually? Should I use a different technique? What other methods are there other than WILD, DIELD, DILD? Which is best fit for beginners?

I would greatly appreciate if someone was to answer all these questions or at least take a crack at a few. Thanks for everyone's help, hopefully. ACTUALLY THIS BECAME REALLY LONG... SORRY!

If you're legs are numb, you're body is falling asleep. Keeping your eyes closed would be a good idea, but try to have you're mind's eye open, the imagery will be all in your head, lol. I'm really no expert in lucid dream entrances either though, lucidity for me seems to just happen now ever since I tried binaural beats (they seem to help give you the tingly feeling). I sometimes get lucid dreams when falling asleep on my back after waking up in the middle of the night, but they tend to be nightmarish and end up being false awakenings and having some feeling of sleep paralysis.. but that's just me I guess.

Welcome to dream views dividedbyzero. The numbness of your legs was a good sign that you were entering Sp which means you were getting close to completing a wild. It doesn't matter if you see flashes of light or any imagery, its different for everyone and you might just not experience it. If you can lay still for very long you can probably wild.

You should also check out the tutorial section, good luck!
