I'm going to watch the video later, but I agree with Abra.

Nothing more, nothing less. But you will see the term "false" lucids roaming around here. Ignore it.

In my opinion I wouldn't refer to that layer system. He has made the whole process of lucid dreaming overally complicated.
As far as I am aware, no one on this forum refers to that system for that reason.

I see lucid dreaming as two terms. Fully Lucid and Semi Lucid.
Fully lucid being you had control of your dream, and semi lucid being meaning you had little to none.

      Anyway.

Congratulations on your lucid dream! Hope theres many more to come!

I happen to really like Reese Jones and his terminology. though I usually just refer to layer zero as non lucid and the rest I don't really memorise. Though his theories and ideas are really worth listening to imo, he really got me started.

Layer zero is notorious, it's as if the plot of the dream involves being lucid, yet your logical mind hasn't kicked in to allow you to think for yourself. I had one a few nights ago where my friend was saying we were in a dream, and that we should go flying. so we flew, then somehow I lost the ability to fly and was unable to regain it. Normally if I'm lucid it hits me like a brick and I feel amazing, and I'm ALWAYS able to fly.

You just gotta teach yourself to never think about lucidity passivly in your waking life.
      good times

As well as this. I think he also promotes the idea of a dream guide or an inner consciousness. Which simply don't exist.
I just want people to know the facts about lucid dreaming, none of that gobble do guu stuff.

Honestly, I really don't buy any of that. I take his advice on how to lucid dream, and I like hearing about his lucid dreams.

I remember watching his videos a long time ago when I first read about Lucid Dreaming but I don't remember a thing from them except that he had some good advice. The more complicated you make it the less you will want to even do lucid dreaming especially since you just started. You may lose interest. My opinion, watch the videos if you like but don't think too hard about the things he's saying.
