Hey everybody, my name is Julia and I'm 15. I came across this site when I was looking to see if it was possible to control my dreams, and I found much more than what I was asking for.
I have two questions about controlling my dreams, though:


1) It takes me a long time to get to sleep: between 30-45 minutes. Will this affect lucid dreaming? I do get insomnia sometimes, but then it takes me hours to get to sleep.

2) When I'm laying in bed waiting for sleep, I almost always am thinking of something. I guess it's kind of like dreaming, except that I know that I'm fully conscious and as soon as I open my eyes the "dream" ends, although I can pick up where I left off. After I clear my mind, I usually get to sleep after a bit. Is this normal?
